Passion driven masterpieces

About Stephanie Dyrby

Autodidact oil painter with the aim for capturing emotions and atmospheres.

Being inspired by the ancient mythologies and the Italian Renaissance, I strive to create art with multiple interpretations using mixed media in order to transform my passion into modern, original masterpieces. The fascination of mysterious, ancient myths, the Renaissance’s great masters and my curiosity has motivated me to create and pursuit art, since a very young age.

I love to study and believe in lifelong learning. I hold a Master’s Degree in Experience Design and a Bachelor’s Degree in Art & Technology. My studies have influenced the topics of my paintings as well as my interest in philosophy, psychology and art history.

Behind The Work

Inspired by the timeless tales of ancient mythologies, I delve into the profound stories that have echoed through the ages. These myths, with their archetypal characters and universal themes, serve as a foundation for my artistic exploration. The Italian Renaissance, with its celebration of beauty, harmony, and the human form, further influences my work, infusing it with a classical aesthetic that transcends time.

My pieces are not merely static images but dynamic portals that invite viewers to pause and reflect. Through the language of art, I strive to spark conversations about life’s intricacies, our individual roles, and the profound questions that have captivated minds throughout history. Each stroke and every nuance in my creations is a deliberate attempt to make people stop, wonder, and engage in a dialogue with both the artwork and their own contemplative selves.

As a mere observer, I strive to create art that starts discussions between friends and strangers, provoke their opinions, touch their fund memories and create a spark of inspiration in its viewers.

“Every painting of mine holds meraki”

Soul. Creativity. Love.

“When you purchase one of my paintings, you’re taking home more than just a physical object. You’re embracing countless hours of trial, error, and creative discovery. It’s a journey through years of perseverance, fleeting frustrations, and bursts of profound joy. You’re holding a fragment of my heart, a glimpse of my soul, and a small chapter of my life lived through art and creation.”
